William J. Dumas is one of the
most dynamic instructors in the control industry. His presentations are
practical, informative and entertaining. He is known for his unique ability to
make difficult subjects exciting and easy to understand. Participant evaluations
frequently state that it is by far the most informative training seminar they
have ever attended and request that it be longer.
He brings a philosophy into the classroom as he distills complex concepts down to the basics. But while he works to teach his students what they need to know, he believes a student's knowledge comes from within. "If a student can interact and understand why things are done in a particular way, they will learn a lot more. The more they are engaged in class, the more they will learn. If they do not ask questions, then I will."
After receiving his Electrical degree from the State University of New York, he was engaged for over fifteen years in control and logic design, testing, training, and customer support for companies such as Honeywell, Computer Control Company, Mohawk Data Sciences, Ford Motor Company, etc. For ten years he owned D&K Titan Associates, one of the most respected Design/Build Commercial/Industrial Electrical Contracting firms in New York State. He then branched into Construction Management, completing projects for high-rise office buildings, multi-deck parking garages, etc.
In 1987 he relocated to
metro-Atlanta and established William J. Dumas & Associates. He is Owner and President of WJDA and has presented hundreds of seminars to
thousands of participants, throughout the United States. In addition to his
presentations with WJDA, he has also presented numerous seminars as a Contractor
Instructor of National Technology Transfer (NTT) and American Trainco.
