Troubleshooting Control Circuits
The focus of Troubleshooting Control Circuits is to
develop the skills required to diagnose and
repair malfunctions in control circuits.
It builds on the concepts covered in
Troubleshooting Electrical Circuits and includes 10 new troubleshooting
tips to help you improve your troubleshooting strategies.
Using realistic control circuit simulations, you will learn techniques
for solving faults in control circuits containing components such as
transformers, relays, pushbuttons, switches, and more.

What You Will Learn
This program will help you develop the skills
to safely and efficiently troubleshoot all types of control circuits.
Learn 10 valuable tips for troubleshooting all
types of electrical equipment, including finding malfunctions caused by
multiple component failures and locating intermittent faults.
Improve your technique for troubleshooting faults on control circuits.
Learn how control circuits and their typical components such as relays,
transformers, and switches operate.
Become skilled at diagnosing and repairing control circuit faults.
Develop the ability to use diagrams to determine the function and
operation of control circuits and how to locate components and
connections.
Two Unique Control Circuit Simulations
The first circuit
simulation consists of a transformer, a fuse, several relays, switches,
and lights. With this simulation you will be coached through the
troubleshooting process on two guided faults and then be given the
opportunity to solve six different practice exercise faults.
Learn how to apply the Systematic Troubleshooting Approach to control
circuits.
Explore how the components work and learn techniques for finding circuit
defects.
Gain experience identifying and repairing control circuit faults.
The electric door lock circuit is
a more complex simulation that puts you in a realistic environment where
you will develop, practice, and refine your control circuit
troubleshooting skills.
Guided faults coach you through the most effective and efficient process
for troubleshooting faults.
Practice faults help improve your troubleshooting techniques by
providing hints and feedback.
Skill Test faults put your skills to the test without any assistance
during the troubleshooting process and provide feedback to help you
improve your skills.
Evaluating Skill
Track the development of your
troubleshooting skills with comprehensive evaluation for each fault and
the entire program.
A detailed assessment for each fault attempt will help you perfect your
troubleshooting methods and techniques.
Monitor your progress with your Overall Skill Rating as you strengthen
your troubleshooting abilities.
Continual feedback will keep you on track and your Overall Summary will
help determine areas for improvement.
